Hi Ho! We just got back from our family trip to California/Disneyland. So sad that it is over already! We had so much fun. It was blissful to see my children re-discover the magic of Disney. The last time we went was nine years ago. My older three kids were really little and my baby boy, Braxton (who will turn five next month *sniff*) was not even yet a twinkle in my eye. My three older children are teens now, so they went off thrill ride seeking with their dad, while I was very happy to push Braxton in a stroller with my sister, Kim and her two children. I was thinking that if I didn't still have a small child to watch discover the magic of Disneyland, I would have been slightly broken hearted on this trip. I absolutely loved watching my little boy as he experienced his first trip to Disneyland. I was so surprised at how he went on Tower of Terror twice. I think he is ready to face anything now that he faced that! We enjoyed 3 days at Disneyland, and then a day at Knott's Berry farm (which was way too hot for my little kid and limited rides, so me and my sister blew off Knott's and took our children to the water park across the street.) The last day of our trip was at Newport Beach where my older kids and my husband and siblings enjoyed body surfing and boogie boarding. There was a shark warning, but those fins sticking out of the water (very close to my swimming family) belonged to three playful dolphins:) And, my littlest guy took right to the boogie board when his uncle taught him how to use it….so cute to watch! Anyway, there were 16 family members in our party who traveled seperately to California, Including my parents; my brother, Scott; my sister Kim and her hubby and two children; my brother Shaun and his wife, and of course me and my husband and four children. My oldest son also brought along his sweet girlfriend who is such a trooper to have traveled with our family 17 hours to and from. Ye. We drove! In fact, we drove straight through coming come, with only one hour and a half rest at a rest stop. (My husband is like the Energizer Bunny.) And, surprisingly, my little boy was a great traveler. We had an awesome time! I can't wait to go back!
