Sky High Sports- Bouncing off the walls!
Looking for the ultimate family fun place to take your energetic bunch? Being pretty much homebound this rainy/snowy/blustery winter season can add up to severe cabin fever, I was looking for a place, a fun place to let my kids literally bounce off the walls.
I was thrilled to have discovered Sky High Sports in Tigard, Oregon. Sky High Sports is a huge unique family fun center with trampoline floor and walls, and a huge foam pit to jump into.
I brought a group of kids ages 5-18, and each one of those kids had a blast. I didn't really know what to expect when we arrived. My five-year old son, Braxton, acted a bit apprehensive at first, almost as if he was wondering if he would really be able to bounce on the walls. He soon found out that it was alright after he watched my oldest son, Jonathan (who is 18) take off and perform some unbelievable feats of bouncing. Wow, does Jonathan ever have some energy to spare. Jonathan reminded me of Tarzan (even though there were no ropes involved.) Jonathan was going so fast jumping across the vast floors and walls of Sky High that he was only a BLUR on my camera! So much for trying to take good pictures! (None of my action shots turned out, dang it!)
Jonathan, before he became a big 'blur' on my camera.
Braxton, 'getting up the nerve' to show us his moves. (Before he, too, became a big 'blur' on my crappy camera.)
My girls, Kendallyn (age 16), Myelie (age 14) as well as my niece, Paige (age almost 16) had a great time, too, especially playing in the dodge ball area, where you can play dodge ball whilst bouncing. I was kind of surprised that my girls wanted to play dodge ball more than bounce, but I guess there must have been some cute boys in that area, and what girl does not want to be tagged by a ball mid-air by a dashing young fella? I guess it is the age?

Even my husband, Jon was all set to bounce, but he couldn't seem to keep up with the kiddos, and decided to just watch them have fun after he 'disappeared' into the foam pit for a bit. It takes some muscles to climb back out of there. (Well, perhaps not muscles, but definitely stamina!)
To sum it all up my family had a blast at Sky High Sports and are already asking when we are going to go back. Anytime! I am thinking about planning a birthday party there for my little Braxton for when he turns 6.
Sky High Sports is just awesome. You must keep them in mind for the next time your kids are climing the walls at home! There are comfy couches for moms like me to sit on and just watch the fun and take photos. (Unless you have a crappy camera like mine, you could get some great action shots!)
