TEEN CHOICE AWARDS – GET THE LOOK: GINA RODRIGUEZ / VICTORIA JUSTICE
Yes, the Teen Choice Awards were nearly a month ago, but I can’t help but think of the fresh looks on those beautiful young ladies! It made me think of how you could incorporate those fresh looks into your Fall beauty routine.
Get the Look: Gina Rodriguez, Host of The Teen Choice Awards
Created by: Makeup Artist, Carissa Ferreri using Burt’s Bees
Carissa assured Gina had brilliant and smooth skin all night courtesy of Burt’s Bees Renewal Firming Day Lotion w SPF 30
– Lip Look #1: Carissa first prepped and primed lips with the Burt’s Bees Strawberry Lip Shimmer before layering on the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Carolina Coast and Lip Gloss in Nearly Dusk to make lips POP.
– Lip Look #2: For Gina’s second Lip Look of the evening, Carissa applied the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Fig to moisturize and then Lip Gloss in Starry Night.
– Lip Look #3: Third times a charm! The third look Carissa created for Gina was a mixture between the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Caramel Daisy, Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands and Lip Gloss in Sunny Day.
Carissa’s Tip: Use gentle makeup remover wipes to remove lipstick whether you are in between sets, or at night! Her pick? Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract.
Get the Look: Victoria Justice, presenter at The Teen Choice Awards
Created by: Scunci Hair Stylist, Laura Polko (@polkohontas) www.scunci.com
The Look: How you wish your hair would naturally air dry, with red carpet definition
Victoria was wearing an emerald-colored Herve Leger dress so Laura wanted to perfectly pair her hair to complement her look, creating an effortless, yet sculptured style.
– Step 1: Starting with clean, damp, 80% dried hair – Laura sprayed in Sun Bum Beach Formula Sea Spray to enhance and create natural texture
– Step 2: Laura then blow-dried hair until almost 100% using her fingers and not a brush. Polko recommends this method over a brush to keep the natural texture of the hair, versus destructing them with a brush or comb.
– Step 3: Polko then worked with Victoria’s natural off-center part before officially styling
– Step 4: Next, Polko used a flat iron to put a natural “bend” in Victoria’s hair, working with each existing wave and curl to smooth, define and enhance
– Step 5: Finally, Polko made finishing touches before setting with Oribe Dry Texturing Spray
My thoughts: I received samples of a few of the Burt’s Bees Renewal Firming Day Lotion w SPF 30, and the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes to review. I am a forever fan of Burt’s Bees products. I know that I can trust them to make my skin look and feel its best. I love the lotion because it is very light, but very moisturizing. The cleansing towelettes are perfect for removing my makeup at the end of the day. I love them for traveling!
