Blog entry for August 6th 2010
Today was another beautiful and sunny day. We just returned from a very nice park in West Linn. (My husband, Jon and I and our little Braxton.) There was water fountains that Braxton enjoyed running through. I pushed him on the swing and he did some climbing and went down the slides. I love being with my littlest child in the park. If we had never had a fourth little one, I would probably never have really have gone to many more parks, due to the fact that my older kids wouldn’t think it is the cool thing to do, so I am thankful that I still have a little tyke to push on the swings. He makes me feel young. It is Daddy’s job, however, to push Braxton really high on the swings:) We really are enjoying our ‘baby boy.’ Just not so much when he throws his wicked tantrums.
Anyway, Here is a little tidbit that I want to ‘admit.’ Whenever I see a group of people in a park who are perhaps having some sort of a private gathering, such as a BBQ, and well, just perhaps I happen to be hungry and it is dinnertime, I see absolutely nothing wrong with blending into that group and getting some dinner for myself and my kids.
This time, I did notice, however, that this was a church function, and It was the same religion I belong to. (The LDS church.) SO, need less to say, I had no problem feeling welcome. I did not know these people personally, but when I got into the chow line with my little boy I immediately felt likeI was one of them. They were kind folks. Little Braxton was happy to get a hotdog, some lemonade and a couple brownies.
