My poor baby! Big Brother was 'babysitting' Braxton while I was at a funeral, and Big Brother decided it would be funny to give Little Brother's hair a 'trim.' We are gonna have to shave it all off now!!!!
Braxton is MAD at Big Brother for his new PUNK hairstyle.
Got curly hair? MotionsNaturallyYou has the perfect hair care products for you! Motions Naturally You was designed for African American hair. Until Motions, there were very few product lines available that addressed the hair care needs of women of color. Curly hair needs special products.
My daughters both were born with curls. They have no African American heritage, but they did indeed inherit curls from somewhere in my husband's family tree. I always had such trouble when my girls were little. I just could not find a single product that would tame the frizzy tangled mess their hair was on a daily basis. There was simply nothing I had ever tried that would allow their hair to form perfectly silky ringlets. Now my daughters are older and they do tend to straighten their hair, but for the days they want to wear it curly, they have discovered that Motions Hair Care Products hold the answer to beautiful curls.
After towel drying their hair. and while it is still damp, my girls like to apply Motions Hydrate My Curls Pudding before twisting their hair into two tight coils (pigtails) that they wear to bed so that when they wake up, their curls are extra 'springy' and beautiful for school the next morning! My hair is so straight that I had to use a curling iron my entire life to get ANY kind of waviness to my 'blah' hair.

Looking for High Quality, low cost and did I say ADORABLE fashion hair ties and hair bands for your girls?
The Tye is a company who creates these fashionable hair accessories. My teenage girls have very thick long hair that they love to pull back into ponytails on occassion. We love these hair bands because they are extremely durable, and will not break, as many other hair ties and bands tend to do with thick hair. They are also gentle on the hair. They are easy to get out without damaging, breaking or pulling your hair.
Very fashionable, too, with bold colors that have been hand dyed. My girls also wear them as bracelets, because they look so cool! Wearing one (or more) to school on their wrists is not only stylish, but ensures a handy hair tie to pull back their hair for PE or windy days.
The Tye hair ties make a great fashion statement, as they go with any outfit to add that 'pop' of color.
You can purchase singular hair ties here in any color. (THERE IS A $5 MINIMUM ON ALL ORDERS.)
Or you can purchase an assorted bag of many colors here.
- And with any order you will receive a free headband ($3 value) if you enter "mommies" into the notes section during check out

I love to look tan! Naturally tan, that is. Gone, however, are the days when I would lay out in the sun on our trampoline soaking up those dangerous UVA rays as well as UVB rays. You will never find me anywhere near a tanning bed, either. I am so glad I stayed away from those in my youth, too, because I have no wrinkles to show for it, which is a great thing, but I still do love a glow.
I had tried every self tanning product on the market only to experience huge disappointment, orange streaks and stained hands. I was never able to blend the color evenly, no matter how hard I tried, until now.
I had the opportunity to sample what I consider to be the greatest sunless tanning product I have ever used! It is Fake Bake's New Flawless Self-Tanning Liquid with Mitt.
Note: I received samples of the products mentioned above, and I love them! The opinions expressed are my own.
Bob Moore began his company, Bob’s Red Mill back in 1978.
Bob Moore, founder of Bob's Red Mill
Bob's journey began serendipitously in the mid '60s after coming across a book about old stone-grinding flour mills. His enthusiasm was immediate and he decided to find usable stone mills, which were becoming rarer due to the domination of high-speed steel roller mills. His persistence paid off. Equipped with several sets of millstones from an old North Carolina water-powered flour mill, Bob and his wife ,Charlee, began their first mill in Redding, California.
After a few years, they decided to pursue others interests and retired to Oregon City, Oregon in 1978. On an afternoon walk, Bob came across an old mill that, as luck would have it, had a big sign out front reading “for sale”. In just a few short months, he was able to source a beautiful old mill that could stone grind flours and cereals for local customers. Word quickly spread and Bob's Oregon City based mill enjoyed much success.
For over three decades, Bob has been committed to providing people everywhere with the best quality foods available.
Bob’s Red Mill manufactures health cereals, grains, beans, seeds, flours and meals, mixes, oats, but what makes Bob’s company unique is his values:
TRUST HONESTY AND INTEGRITY: These are the three principles Bob's business is built on. The packaging is a great example of this commitment: Their clear bags allow the customer to see the high quality of every one of their products. By producing the very best in whole grain foods, Bob's Red Mill is able to fulfill their commitment to help look after more and more people through better nutrition. Bob simply wouldn't have it any other way.
PRESERVING NUTRITION THROUGH TRADITION: (from their website)
At Bob's Red Mill, we know that you can't rush quality. That's why we manufacture our products using time-honored techniques, like grinding whole grains at cool temperatures with a traditional stone mill. This production 'secret' allows us to seal in the freshness and bring you wholesome, quality foods, just as nature intended.
Our beautiful stone grinding mills are much like the ones used during early Roman times. And to this day, our quartz millstones remain the best way to produce the finest products available. Unlike high-speed steel rollers, our stone mills ensure the most nutritious parts of the whole grain remain, so we can pack all-natural goodness right into your bag.
I got to choose three of Bob's greatest mixes: (Which all turned out to be delicious, and my kids loved them)
Makes cookies that are free from gluten, yet full of scrumptious flavor! Made from the finest all natural ingredients, these cookies are soft on the inside with a delicate crispiness outside, and so easy to prepare. Ingredients: brown sugar, evaporated cane juice, garbanzo bean flour, potato starch, semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, vanilla), tapioca starch, whole grain white sorghum flour, fructose, fava bean flour, xanthan gum, baking soda, sea salt, natural vanilla powder (sugar, corn starch, vanilla extract).
Spice Apple Bran Muffin Mix is a perfect blend of spices and plump, tasty chunks of dried apple. This mix, containing stone ground whole wheat pastry flour, enriched pastry flour (wheat flour, niacin, iron, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid), wheat bran, dried apples, non-fat dry milk, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), nutmeg, and cloves, is a true crowd pleaser.
Light and delicate, this is the go-to mix for bakers looking to make the perfect shortbread cookie. Sweet, but not overly rich, these cookies are delightful on their own and can be spruced up with a few minor adaptions.
Bob's Red Mill has many products to choose from, so be certain to check them all out:
I often drive past Bob’s Red Mill in Oregon City on my way to my children’s dentist. I had read a couple of years ago in the People magazine that instead of selling his business, Bob handed it over to his loyal employees, so now it is employee owned. What a great man Bob Moore is.
