Fromm Family Foods is a family owned and operated company passionately dedicated to the art of creating the highest quality, natural pet foods and treats for dogs and cats.
Tom Nieman, Owner & 4th Generation Family Member says, "I was raised to believe that the dogs and cats in our home were more than just pets. They were important family members who played a significant role in our lives. For that reason, we always felt a responsibility to make sure that family pets received proper nutrition to promote good health and long life. For over a century, we've dedicated ourselves to exceeding that responsibility through a tradition of quiet innovation. We're still a family-owned and operated business based in Wisconsin. And we still sell our pet food one bag at a time. Our family members wouldn't have it any other way."
I have an eight year-old back lab named Banner who we rescued from a shelter seven years ago. He grew up with my little Braxton who will be 7 in two weeks. Banner has always been the sweetest, kindest and most loyal dog. When Braxton was a baby, he would crawl all over Banner. Braxton would poke Banner's eyes, pull on his ears and grab onto his jowls and Banner would just lay there and allow it. Also, Banner is very gentle with other animals. We have cats and chickens which are always in the yard along with Banner. We have had other dogs come and visit who would brutally murder my kitties and chickens, but sweet Banner loves them all and has never harmed any living creature.
Banner also protects our family by barking whenever anyone pulls up into our driveway. He alerts us to the presence of strangers walking along the road in front of our home. We love to take Banner camping with us. It is so much fun to watch him swim in the lake! My husband and I and our four children adore Banner and we want him to live a long healthful life, so when I got the chance to review Fromm Family Foods Gourmet Dog Food, I was thrilled! Why shouldn't Banner be fed the very best dog food on the market? He certainly deserves it!
Kendallyn and Banner
I received the Duck & Sweet Potato recipe dog food to review for Banner. I chose this recipe because it contains added cartilage to support joint health. Banner has always suffered from bad hips, so I was thinking that the Duck & Sweet Potato formula would be the best choice for him.
Duck & Sweet Potato dog food is made with duck, sweet potatoes, cranberries, carrots, green beans, and other fresh produce. An excellent primary-source protein alternative for dogs with protein sensitivities.
Our Experience: I have been feeding Banner the Duck & Sweet Potato recipe dog food for three weeks now. I really am amazed because Banner has had zero problems with his hips. He is usually pretty stiff every morning, and especially at the end of the day, if he had played 'fetch' (which he loves to do.) I have not seen any evidence of his hips being sore lately at all. The only thing I have been doing differently for Banner is that I have been feeding him this Fromm Family dog food. I have also noticed that Banner's coat seems to have a lustrous sheen to it that he had never had before. Banner really loves the taste of this food, as well. He really seems to look forward to his daily meals and gobbles it up in a hurry.
I also received a sample of Chicken with Carrots and Peas Fromm Family Foods dog snacks.
