Happy Family is a leading premium organic food brand whose goal is to deliver optimal nutrition for the entire family.
After watching a friend struggle to find healthy food options for her baby (that didn’t involve hours of slaving away in the kitchen), founder and CEO Shazi Visram came up with the idea for Happy Family. What began as Happy Baby — a minimally processed frozen, organic alternative to baby food in a jar — has since grown into a comprehensive line of products for the whole family. Today, Happy Family provides organic foods for babies, toddlers, kids, and even adults! It’s delicious, convenient and made with a mother’s touch for all ages, all stages. What could be happier than that?
I became an auntie again for the 18th time on September 1st to sweet little Wesley. Baby Wesley is now a little over four months old and is just beginning to eat solids. His mommy is very concerned about the additives and chemicals that some baby foods contain and wants to feed her precious little guy only organic foods and snacks. I was sent coupons for Happy Family Organic Superfoods baby food which I happily passed on to Wesley’s mommy.

Wesley’s mommy selected happy baby pouches which are recommended for starting your baby on their first solids.
Happy Baby Starting Solids are single ingredient purees created to delight baby’s first taste buds. These simple fruits and vegetables are the perfect introduction to the joy of whole organic food. So far, baby Wesley’s favorites are sweet potato, peach, banana and winter squash. He is such a good eater for a first timer! All of my babies hated any kind of solid foods and just lived off the breast for the first six months. One of my girls would only nurse for her first year, but was so chubby just on my milk alone, so I knew she was getting enough.
A very happy baby, indeed!
Recommendations for baby’s first food (from Happy Family Organic Superfoods)
A common first food for baby is a single grain iron-enriched infant cereal like our Happy Bellies organic brown rice cereal. Brown rice cereal is good to start with because it’s a healthy whole grain, it’s easy to digest, it’s gluten-free, and it has a very low risk of allergic reaction.
Other age-appropriate first foods include mild fruits and vegetables like peaches, plums, green beans, avocado, and banana.
You may also try other whole grains like oatmeal, quinoa, amaranth, and barley cereals. Your pediatrician may advise you to avoid wheat cereals until baby is a bit older, since wheat is more likely to cause an allergic reaction.
