I have been learning so much about the important health benefits of probiotics. They are crucial to our body's well-being. But I had never really thought about how probiotics could be beneficial to our skin.
Just as probiotics taken internally work to reduce inflammation and boost the immune system, so do probiotics applied directly to the skin. Skin is bombarded daily with an excess of harsh pollutants, chemicals and free radicals, all of which put our skin – our body’s first line of defense – in a state of exhausted, constant crisis.
Live, active probiotics applied topically provide much needed reinforcements for the good bacteria in the skin’s microbiome while neutralizing the harmful bacteria. This allows the skin to find peace, rebalance and reset for an optimum level of health and vibrancy. It all makes sense, right?
LaFlore Skin Careuses the latest innovations in biotechnology to cultivate the power of probiotics, LaFlore™ ’s patent-pending Probiotic Technology delivers a suspended matrix of live, bioactive time released prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics which activate upon application to bolster skin health. and intuitively balance individual skin microbiome. LaFlore products incorporate an impressive combination of nutrient rich – anti-inflammatory ingredients which get to the root of a problem.
Most probiotic lines have one or two probiotic essences in their products. LaFlore™ uses a multitude of diversified flora within all three products. This matrix of actives is then cultivated into three unique cocktails and custom blended to produce results in three distinct phases of application: cleanse-recharge, treat-recover and moisturize -protect. The more variety of bio-available flora, the more opportunity there is for the skin to achieve a state of peace, balance and better skin health.
I was given the chance to review LaFlore Skin Care, and received the following products:
LaFlore® Probiotic Cleanser – Softens, brightens and balances all skin types. The Live- Active Probiotics has Pineapple extract (Bromelain), Spearmint essential oil and Aloe. I use this moisturizing cleanser in the evening to remove all of my makeup, even my eye makeup. (It doesn't irritate my sensitive eyelids at all. It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh.
LaFlore® Probiotic Serum Concentrate – Calms, smooths fine lines and wrinkles and boosts the skin’s natural defense system. I apply this serum immediately after cleansing in the evening. This powerhouse serum includes Perilla Seed oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Vitamins A, D, K, E, and Beta Carotene, as well as Hemp Seed oil, Jojoba, Avocado and Squalene. This serum can also be used as a spot treatment for acne and rosacea. (Over a dozen probiotics in the LaFlore Live-Active Probiotic Serum!) It gives my skin that boost of nutrients that it needs.
LaFlore® Probiotic Daily Defense Moisturizer – An aloe-based moisturizer packed with active probiotics, botanical humectants, super-antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and vitamin D3. This moisturizer primes skin for a flawless makeup application while protecting the skin’s barrier function from the degenerative effects of environmental exposure. I use this as both my night and day cream.
For my daily routine, I actually don't even wash my face because the products from the night before are still on my skin, doing their job. Sometimes, I just rinse it with water, and then add the serum and moisturizer before applying my makeup. My skin never breaks out, is never oily, and looks radiant and young!
