I had always wanted to try out milk paint, because I had heard great things about it. I have a little side table that has been in my family since as long as I can remember. I think it was my grandmother’s. I love the table, but it truly needed a little TLC. Thankfully, I was given the chance to review The Real Milk Paint.
Here is the table before I did anything to it….
For starters, I wiped the table down with a homemade cleaner (which consisted of borax, white vinegar, hot water and dish washing liquid in a spray bottle) and let it dry. Then I sanded the table with a medium grit sanding sponge to rough the piece up a bit.
Then it was time to mix up the paint, and get started painting. I used the Still Water Cove Grey shade. I followed the directions for mixing the milk paint. For this little project I only used 1/2 cup milk paint powder with 1/2 cup water. After I mixed it and let it sit to thicken up, the painting began!
I did 2 coats, letting the paint dry between coats
Look at my finished project! Doesn’t it look amazing? It was so easy!
I couldn’t be happier with the final product!
I have worked with Annie Sloan chalk paint, BB Frosch chalk paint powder, and Fusion mineral paint before, but never have had the opportunity until now to try out The Real Milk Paint. I would have to say that I would definitely use it again!
