This year, Juicy Juice partnered with nationally-acclaimed nutrition expert, RD and mom of two, Mitzi Dulan, who has been sharing her tips on how to keep school lunches interesting, nutritious and tasty with new, better-for-you drinks.

Taste the rainbow. You hear about eating a rainbow of colors on your plate and the same goes for filling your kids’ lunchbox! Colorful fruits and vegetables like watermelon, strawberries and broccoli add powerful antioxidants that can help keep a child’s immune system strong.
Pick your protein. Protein helps your kids grow, build muscle, and keep their immune system strong. Good options include a turkey sandwich, almonds, string cheese, hardboiled egg or even beverages – like the new Juicy Juice + Protein, one of the first juice-protein blends on the market.
Switch to whole grains. Use whole wheat instead of white when choosing bread or bagels for the added fiber, protein and other important nutrients.
Thankfully, my son enjoys the new Juicy Juice + Protein drinks. His favorite is the Fruit Punch! If my son decides not to eat the turkey sandwiches I provide in his lunch, then at least I know he is getting some sort of protein to give him the energy he needs. Juicy Juice + Protein includes 5 grams of whey protein – good source of protein, per pouch. There is no high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners, and is an excellent source of Vitamin C.
Braxton also enjoys drinking his Juicy Waters beverages. I freeze these overnight in the freezer, and they thaw out into a slushy, thirst-quenching drink that is icy cold by lunchtime. There is no sugar added, but it is not even missed, because there is a subtle taste of natural sweetness. His favorite is the watermelon strawberry.
