My husband and I love to travel, and have several trips on the horizon that we are looking forward to. We love to fly, but never do expect to get much rest. I have tried out several travel pillows, but have not found one that is better than the Travist!
As you can see in the photo below (where I used my husband as my model), the Travist pillow looks really cool just to wear. You can keep your cash and credit cards in it without having to worry that they might get stolen when you are sleeping!
It has a nice, secure pouch to carry a few travel essentials, such as snacks, hand sanitizer, headache medicine, ear plugs and lip balm. Oh, and your cell phone, but please remember to set it to airplane mode!
Here is the pump, that easily and discreetly inflates the pillow for you when it is time to rest. (No need to get light-headed or dizzy from blowing up the pillow, thankfully.)
And here is my husband demonstrating how to rest his head on the pillow, although there are several different positions you can use to get comfortable. I enjoyed it last weekend on our three hour car trip to the beach. Next up, our trip to Hawaii! (We may or may not fight over who gets to use the Travist!)

If you are a child of the 80's, then you probably remember what a fanny pack is. If you are like me, then you probably proudly toted one around, feeling rather stylish. Face it, fanny packs were beyond convenient! I had a purple one when I was younger, and my family went on a trip to Disneyland. My fanny pack came in handy because I never lost it, nor had the slightest worry about it getting stolen. My money and my chap stick were safe and sound when I went on all those exciting rides.
Fast forward- in my high school days, you would not have caught me dead with a fanny pack. At that time of my life, only nerds wore them, and I was not about to look uncool! So, needless to say, I hung up my fanny pack indefinitely, and did end up losing it. I ended up losing many wallets and purses because I was just too 'cool' to be seen with a fanny pack.
And then, I became a Mommy. I found myself WISHING that fanny packs were still a thing because it was so hard to carry around a purse, a diaper bag, and a squirming baby. How was I going to keep track of my car keys, wallet, lip gloss AND my those ever vanishing binkis? How convenient would that have been to have everything neatly packed away in a nice little fanny pack nestled snugly on my hip.
Now, my children are mostly grown, and I want to be one of those "cool moms." I still have one more child at home, and my days are not as crazy. However, I am not any more organized now than I was with three active little ones demanding my sanity. Cool moms use fanny packs! I promise, they DO!
I cannot stand carrying around purses when I go walking, running errands, or traveling. Purses are way too bulky, and they get in the way. I need a place to keep my essentials, such as my keys, cash, debit card, cell phone, a mirror, facial powder (because I get oily) AND my lipstick. I cannot leave home without those things at any given time!
I have found that the best place to find a great variety of really cool fanny packs is at fanny Factory. At Fanny Factory, they're reclaiming the fanny pack by taking its best features and making them better. And then punching up the style factor with awesome trendy patterns and prints.
I love my Tropi-Cool fanny pack! It features a small zipped pocket on the front and back, a large main compartment with a smaller zipped interior pocket, PLUS a hidden pocket under the top flap for discreet items. I can even carry tampons in it!

In all the excitement of getting prepared to go on vacation, you can easily forget that you’re going to need to have something to wear for traveling, as well as enough clothing for when you arrive. All too often, people pack all of their most comfortable clothes and then have to find and wear whatever is left over, meaning they are uncomfortable on the journey. This is particularly unfortunate if you are on a plane for a number of hours with nowhere to go – being uncomfortable because of your clothing is a nightmare.
Prepare what you are going to wear for your flight well ahead of time and you can be sure of a much better level of comfort. What should you wear though? Here are some suggestions.
Sitting for hours at a time in one spot – a spot that is notoriously cramped – when you travel by plane is hard enough, but if you are in pants that just don’t allow for any movement or stretch, then you can feel even worse.
The best pants to wear are something stretchy or loose. Tight fitting jeans or other types of pants will not work well. The material should also be nice and soft, to give even more comfort. It’s not just a matter of comfort either; if you sit for too long in one place wearing pants that are too tight, your circulation can be affected, and you might even develop deep vein thrombosis. Compression socks can help if you are worried that you could be susceptible.
A Relaxed Top
Again, when it comes to a top, just as with your pants, the more relaxed the better. If you want to arrive looking neat and chic, don’t choose material that easily wrinkles because it is definitely going to be wrinkled on a plane.
Planes are usually cold places to be due to the air that needs to be circulated around. It’s best in that case to wear long sleeves. Alternatively, wear layers so that if you do get chilly, you can add a cardigan or sweater to warm up again.
Layers are a great idea for planes for a number of different reasons. Not only will it allow you to regulate your temperature when you are flying, but it can help when you are on the ground too. Airports can be hot places – there are lots of people rushing through, and they can be stressful too which will always put your body temperature up – so you might want a t-shirt there. Moving to the lounge and then to the plane, you can add a layer. Then you might be delayed on the runway and get hot again – you can fix that problem immediately.
The point is, wearing layers means that you can ensure you are comfortable and in control, which can help with nerves too.
Don’t forget another important aspect of traveling on a plane; your carry-on luggage. Make sure you sort some suitable carry on luggage that is easy and comfortable to transport. It should be lightweight and the right size so that it fits in the overhead compartments or under the seat in front of you.
Avoid anything with studs or zippers that might catch and pull, and you don’t want anything heavy as it could cause a problem trying to store it.

My 16 year-old nephew, Logan was in a pretty bad car accident two weeks ago, and totaled his car. He was on his way home from work and swerved to avoid hitting a deer. His car went down a 30 foot embankment and was totaled. Logan was life- flighted to the hospital, but thankfully he is okay with just a gash on his head and a broken bone in his foot. He is lucky to be alive. Needless to say, he is in the market for a new car. We have decided to search for Logan's new car through https://www.cars.com.
Pictured below is Logan's totaled car
The entire process of buying a new car can be scary! It is a big decision, and you definitely need to know what you are getting yourself into before you make a purchase. Cars.com makes your entire car purchasing experience as easy as possible for you from start to finish!
When it comes to buying a car, there are definitely a few things that are important to keep in mind.
Here are a few important tips to help you get the best deal:
1. Do Your Research. ...Knowledge is power! Read reviews on the make and model/year of the car you are interested in. My nephew's ideal vehicle is a jeep, SUV or a pickup. Cars.com has a huge variety to choose from. Cars.com also has videos on their website to help you learn if perhaps there may be problems issues of the certain make and model that you’re considering.
2..Estimate your payments and car value. ...Cars.com has the feature to help you check the estimated values of the car you’re considering, as well as check what your monthly payments would be if you’re financing. There are also helpful articles on negotiating, financing and other how to get the best deal.
3. Shop Around. ... Don’t just visit one dealership, make sure you visit a few to compare pricing on a specific vehicle to make sure you’re getting the best deal possible. Prices can be competitive between dealerships and prices can vary depending on the condition and mileage of the vehicle even if it’s the same make, model and year.
4. Always take someone with you ...It is very important for you to take someone with you while car shopping who has knowledge or experience about buying a car. It is best to get a second opinion, and that person can help you to make the final decision with their input. This is also important, just in case a car salesman might try to take advantage of your lack of knowledge and may try to get you to pay more than you need to.
5. Look at Both New and Used Cars. ...Keep an open mind. There are many used cars on the market that are just as good as new!
Logan's ideal vehicle is a jeep, SUV or a pickup. I have no doubt that he will find exactly what he is looking for in his price range thanks to
Cars.com! Below is the one Logan is going to look at tomorrow morning. He is very excited!

Is your little one afraid of the dark? My little Braxton who is seven years old certainly has his apprehensions. I think he just sees too many scary shows featuring Zombies thanks to his big brother, Jonathan who is always watching scary movies or playing rather frightening video games. Braxton is intrigued by those things in the day time, no problem. But when it is bedtime that is another story. One thing that really helps Braxton to feel secure at night is his Bright Light Pillow.
The Bright Light Pillow is an amazingly soft and plush pillow that contains very safe LED lights that will not burn out, nor cause heat. You just tap it to turn it on. The lights are guaranteed to last hundreds of hours. The Bright Light Pillow has colored lights that change to red, blue, white, green & yellow automatically. It is so pretty to look at as it lulls your child to sleep. It is quite comforting to Braxton. The lights automatically turns off after 15 minutes. It is cozy and perfect for not only bedtime, but car trips, sleepovers and just snuggling on the couch watching a movie. Sometimes we have winter storms where we lose power and I know this pillow will come in handy for those times. Not that it gives off a huge source of light, but since one of Braxton's greatest fears is 'the power going out' then I know he will be very much relieved to know that he has his own 'light' that will still shine during those 'scary' times.
The Bright Light Pillow is the perfect gift for a special child in your life this hiloday season, and it is very affordable at under $20.00!
