 Meet the Beautiful Mommies Team

Welcome to Beautiful Mommies Blog

My name is Juliann and I am the mother to four amazing children, wife to my loving husband of 26 years, Jon, and grandmother to one precious little girl. I live in Oregon.

Beautiful Mommies blog was started in 2008, as I was raising my children.  I wanted to create an outlet in which I could express my thoughts on parenting, seek advice from other mothers, and discover great products and companies that make life being a mother easier. And to make all mommies feel as beautiful as they are!

I am PR Friendly and love working with great companies! Please email me at julin11@peoplepc.com

Meet Cassidy!

The Beautiful Mommies Team is growing! Cassidy is my sweet daughter-in-law, and gave birth to her sweet daughter in January.

Cassidy has joined up with Beautiful Mommies to bring a fresh perspective to this blog in regards to Mommyhood.

I will be reviewing products for pregnant mothers, new mothers, babies and children. I love writing articles that focus on keeping babies and children safe, healthy and adorable. I'm also on the hunt for products for new mommies! My daughter, Reylin Elaine, (born in January) inspires me to find the highest quality products made with love.

Email Cassidy at: anewtonventure@gmail.com

Meet Myelie!

My name is Myelie. I will be reviewing products that support people who live an active and healthy lifestyle, along with anything that will help bring growing families more convenience and happiness in everyday life. While I am not yet a mother, I am planning to have children in the near future.

For now, I am supporting my hard working husband, Austin who is active duty (Air Force) while he is engaged in a military tour which has moved us across the country. I love helping people discover wholesome, healthy, and happy products that they will love.

Acne is one of the most common dermatologic conditions, affecting millions of individuals in the United States.  It’s a common skin condition that affects most people, to a varying degree, during their teen years.  However, acne is by no means restricted to teenagers - adults in their 20's and 30's and 40’s are also susceptible to acne.  Many effective forms of therapy and medications have been developed to help in the process of eliminating and preventing acne.  If a patient suffers from acne, they no longer have to settle with the appearance of their skin because quality topical treatment is available.

“Acne isn’t something one can outgrow with age,” says Dr. Rebecca Baxt, New Jersey/New York board certified dermatologist and assistant professor of clinical dermatology at the New York University School of Medicine.  “Years of untreated acne can leave a lifelong imprint on a person's face and can have an effect on self-image.  While acne may not be curable, it is usually controllable and preventable.”

What is Acne?
Normal skin contains oil glands under the skin, which produce an oily substance called sebum. The sebum moves from the bottom to the top of each hair follicle and then spills out onto the surface of the skin, taking with it sloughed-off skin cells. When a person develops acne, the structure in which the sebum flows gets plugged up. This blockage traps the sebum and sloughed off cells below the skin, preventing them from being released onto the skin's surface.  If a patient's pore's opening is fully blocked, a whitehead will be produced and if the pore's opening is open, a blackhead is created. If a whitehead or blackhead becomes inflamed, they can turn into red pustules or papules.

35+ years. The good news is, very little aging, people think I'm a lot younger than I am. The bad news...I still have acne!
