After months of steady rain here where I live (in Estacada, Oregon) the sun is finally making an appearance. I am hoping it is here to stay! But rain or shine, your little ones can get a head start on planting their own little oasis of green with My Fairy Garden.

I received a My Fairy Garden set to review. I cannot believe how adorable it is. My nine year-old niece, Paige comes over twice a week while her parents work. She is completely obsessed with fairies. I helped her get everything set up, and to get the soil ready. On her own, my niece planted the little seeds. My Fairy Garden has its own little watering system which is really cool. It is really kind of magical, because the water comes out of the little toadstool, and it ‘rains’ on the plants.

Within four days of planting, the sprouts came up. Paige was so excited. I love to watch her take care of her little garden. She spends a lot of time nurturing it and playing with the little Freya fairy doll and the accessories which came with this kit. I keep this little piece of potted paradise out on our deck where it is able to get just enough sun. This is just such a perfect activity for Paige. She is able to learn how to grow things, gets some fresh air, and expand her imagination all at once. This is so much better than electronics to entertain a child any day!

We can’t wait to see how the plants will turn out when they grow more. Meanwhile, Paige patiently watches and waits while she nurtures her special little garden.
