Husband and wife folk-pop group and Republic Records recording artists, Us The Duo – Michael and Carissa Alvarado – have been making waves this year with their hit single “No Matter Where You Are” and their viral 6-second Vine covers. Now, the musical duo is lending their talent to Burt’s Bees to create songs inspired by the different Burt’s Bees lip balm flavors.
Us The Duo vaulted to prominence via Vine early in 2014. Their #6SecondCovers gained major traction, but it was their medleys that launched them to stardom on the platform catching the attention of many publications and causing their social media following to grow over 4 million.
Tad Kittredge, Associate Director of Marketing at Burt’s Bees explains, “Us The Duo’s lip-centric Vines and their compelling love story caught our attention. We’re thrilled to see how they musically interpret the flavors of our natural lip balms with their flare for delightful six-second riffs.”

I am huge fan of Burt’s Bees lip balms! I was sent Wild Cherry and Coconut & Pear flavors to review and I am in love! Burt’s Bees lip balms keep my lips perfectly protected from the harsh winter temperatures. I keep one in my purse and one on my nightstand to apply before bed. The flavors are yummy.
As for Us The Duo, they sound awesome! I’d never heard of them before until now!
