Well, two weeks until the big day………..school starts again September 7th. I have a senior, a sophomore, and eighth grader and a pre-schooler. I'm actually not one of those moms who enjoy their kids going back to school, however. I enjoy my kids. I love having them home. I would home school them if I could. They are growing up too quickly.
The only thing that will be hard about the older three kids going back to school, is that my youngest child will only have me as a playmate. That's all fine and dandy, except my boy does not prefer my company. He needs pals his own age! Out where we live there are very few neighbors, so playmates are scarce!
I plan on taking him on 'field trips' to OMSI, swimming and whatever else I can find for him to do. I'll rack up many miles on the car, but that's much better than racking up frequent flier miles to the funny farm, which is where I will end up if I try to entertain my kiddo myself. Doesn't work!
