I am happy. I am excited and I am having a blast. Why, might you ask? Because I am HOME ALONE while my husband took thwe kids on our annual camping trip without me. This is the first time in 17 years that I have 'opted out' of going. You see, camping, to me is a nightmare. I dread it every year like one would dread getting the measles. I do not cook outdoors. I do not enjoy sleeping in tents. I do have another option of sleeping in the fifth wheel with my in-laws, but they SNORE as loud as thunder, so no thank you. I enjoyed this day shopping with my mother and my sister-in-law, Kenzie. Yesterday my mother and I went to the mall. This is heavenly to me due to the fact that I have not had any sort of time to do anything like this for five years…..since my son Braxton was born. I love my little dude, but it is pure hell taking him ANYWHERE, even to church. It is tremendously relieving to know that as I type this, little Mr. B is in his element with his daddy, siblings, cousins and grandparents roasting marshmallows and tossing rocks into the lake. My older kiddos are probably not having the best time in the world, only because the girls wish they could take a nice hot shower, but my oldest son is pretty happy, I'm assuming, because he brought along his girlfriend, Cassidy and I am certain they are making beautiful music together singing by the campfire. (Yes, they actually sing together:)
