Moms don’t have time to be hungover. We can’t turn off the lights, close the door, and spend the day in bed waiting for pizza delivery. Even on Saturdays, we have to wake up, cook breakfast for the kids, take them to friends’ houses or baseball games, ensure the house is in order, run errands, and complete all of the countless other “mom” tasks that face us everyday.
All of these obligations leave us limited time to indulge in a few glasses of wine, cocktails, or craft beers with our girlfriends. After all, if we end up with a hangover, all of those Saturday or Sunday tasks will be twice as gruelling.
But, if you’re like me, you absolutely LOVE those nights with the girls, chatting about life and our little ones and simply letting loose. That’s why I set out to find a hangover cure that would allow my three best girlfriends (all moms as well) and I the chance to indulge without worrying about neglecting our families the next day.
A coworker recently told me about a hangover supplement he had been taking called Over EZ. It sounded like the perfect option for our mom’s night out.
What Is Over EZ?
Over EZ is an all-natural supplement in pill form. It’s packed with healthy ingredients, like L-cysteine, which helps break down hangover-causing acetaldehyde, and magnesium, which enhances nutrient absorption rates to minimize the symptoms of a hangover. The Plan:
All four of us took the Over EZ supplement 15 minutes before our first drink, which this evening happened to be margaritas at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
The Party:
Four margaritas and a shot of tequila each. We talked a lot, danced, and were all feeling pretty loopy before our taxi arrived. It seemed like the ideal recipe for a debilitating hangover.
The Results:
Before heading to bed that night, my head felt pretty foggy, and I was sure the morning would be painful. But even after all that tequila, I woke up feeling surprisingly…normal. I had a bit of fatigue, which I assume is because I was up a few hours later than I usually am. However, there were no signs of headache or nausea, which are usually what leave me sidelined the next day.
As moms, we couldn’t have the group sleepover we all wanted and had to taxi to our separate homes, so I called each of them and asked how they were feeling. They all said basically the same thing. Slight brain fog, a bit of fatigue, but no signs of a true tequila hangover. In fact, we all agreed that we could without a doubt perform all of our “mom” duties that day just as well as if we hadn’t gone out. At that moment, we all planned our next mom’s margarita night.
