Shaun is my baby brother. The youngest of seven (Four boys and one girl.) Shaun is our golden child. He has always brought his family a lot of joy. He calls me his’ second mommy.’ I always felt a special bond and closeness with this blonde little boy. Shaun became an uncle at the tender age of nine, and boasts nineteen adoring nieces and newphews. I feel very honored that my children have gotten to know their uncle Shauny. My oldest, Jonathan got to practically grow up with Shaun, and could not have had a better role model to look up to
Anyway, Shaun had completed a two- year mission in Tuscon, Arizona for our church and returned in last March. We all enjoyed time with him up until he went to BYU Idaho last January. Uncle Shauny, to the children’s delight decided to come home to stay this past July and he was going to perhaps intern for Disney World in Orlando next year.
But fate has often other plans for us…….Shaun recieved an opportunity to TEACH in Nampa, Idaho with my brother-in-law Sam, where Sam is a principal, and Shaun will get to be an assistant to the Spanish teacher there.
Shaun will be making a great salary while staying with my sister, Jenifer (and Sam) and their five kids. So although we’ll miss our Shauny over here in Oregon, the family in Idaho will be having a blast with him over there. Shaun is gonna go far in this life! I am so proud of him!
