The Best Swaddles for your Baby Burrito and Beyond!
One of my biggest cravings during pregnancies was garage sales. I know that sounds insane but as a first time nesting mom (on a budget) for some reason I thought I needed to clothe my newborn for the first 5 years of her life in a matter of weeks. While I did get a few scores (like 50 brand new bows for ten cents each). I didn’t end of buying 5 years of clothing.
Pregnancy brain is insane, I swear! I was really excited about all these cute little outfits tho and was thrilled to dress her a thousand times a day. The funny part of this story is that my baby as a sweet, precious newborn hated wearing clothes. As a new, kind of awkward new mommy I hated dressing my baby. I was so afraid of hurting her little arms and didn’t ever want her to be uncomfortable.
One of the greatest things the hospital introduces you to right away is the swaddling method!! This is so huge for any parent and new baby transitioning from their cramped but comfortable and warm womb. My husband watched the nurses and soon was a MASTER at swaddling and baby absolutely loved it. However, the swaddles that hospitals provide are very much hospital swaddles and bringing your own swaddle to the hospital is a MUST!

This is also how your baby will sleep for the majority of the beginning of his/her life. She grew so fast and the truth is she didn’t even get through all of the outfits from her baby shower but we will continue to use these swaddles for nursing covers, on the stroller, as emergency burp rags/clean up and lightweight blankets.
