Wow, it feels great to be feeling good after a week of feeling icky. I am also trying to wean my two-and-a half-year old, Braxton, from breastfeeding. Although I adore my sweet baby and do not want him to grow out of babyhood, I am feeling the need for more freedom. Braxton tends to want to suckle all day long if only for comfort, and I just cannot get anything else accomplished in a day because I usually just give in to my boy. I am aware he does not need my milk for nourishment, but mainly comfort and love.
So, on another note, my oldest son, Jonathan, who is almost 16, went with my brother Scott on this past Friday to the Green Day concert in Seattle. He truly enjoyed it.
As a mother, I had never really listened to Green Day, because I am a country music fan, but I made myself listen to some of green Day’s songs just to get the feel of what my child enjoys, and I actually liked one of the songs.
As for my daughters and their activities, they would certainly love to go shopping every day if they could, as their passion is fashion…..but they climb trees, play with the animals, play games on the internet and watch tv. They also help me quite a lot with their baby brother, thankfully:)
This summer has been beautiful out here in Estacada. We have mostly just been enjoying our big house and our goats, chickens and funny mascovi duck who loves to pinch the goats’ hind legs when they get in his way. I love this country life!
