I must admit, I am a little late on jumping on the essential oils bandwagon, and even now I am not quite there. I was given the chance to select and try out a few of their finest oils. I chose the following:
Lavender~Lavender is one of the most useful, unique, and popular essential oils. It has a great calming effect, and can help you to relax. I put a drop or two on my pillowcase at night to help me sleep.
Spearmint~ I use this oil to freshen my breath. I add a few drops to my son’s stinky shoes, or I will rub a drop or two onto his feet when they are sweaty, and it freshens them right up. I use it on my own feet too, and it seems to give me a boost of energy. I have no idea why.
Peppermint~ It has a reputation for bringing calmness and serenity when inhaled. I love to add a couple of drops to my brownie mix, and to my frosting when I am frosting a cake. You can also add it to your hot chocolate. It is delicious. Peppermint always reminds me of Christmas, of course.
Mandarin~This oil has a fragrance that is so very uplifting! I love it. There is nothing more clean or crisp than a nice citrus fragrance like mandarin. I always add a drop or three to the carpet before vacuuming. It freshens up the house before last minute guests arrive. I di the same in my car.
