Beat Spring’s Skin Allergies with Exederm (Review)

March 6, 2014 by Juliann Leave a Comment

For many people, the arrival of spring also means the arrival of allergy season, and with it, dry skin and eczema, a condition that affects 35 million people a year.

This year, you can beat spring’s dry skin and allergic reactions with exederm, a complete product line designed to avoid frangrance, color or dyes, parabens, lanolin, formaldehyde and other known skin irritants. The philosophy is simple: always use the mildest ingredients possible.

Formulated for babies with sensitive skin, exederm is also great for adults and is the ultimate way to “baby your skin,” regardless of age.

My youngest son suffers from eczema. It has been hard to find products that actually work to soothe his itchy skin. I was sent samples of exederm products to review. I received hydrating baby lotion, intense baby moisturizer and flare control cream to review.

Children with eczema, dermatitis and dry sensitive skin need special care…

Too many baby and children’s skincare products contain ingredients that may irritate dry sensitive skin, especially for those with eczema or dermatitis – allergic reactions & rash are common.

Most everyday baby and children’s skincare products are actually designed for the average child – even some of those products labeled as ‘Sensitive’ or ‘Mild’ or ‘Hypoallergenic’. Many ‘natural’ or herbal products can be just as bad too!
Our Experience: My seven year-old son’s skin has been really acting up lately with flare-ups. His skin has been itchy and dry in patches near his underarms and on his belly. I attribute this to the cold weather and the heavier clothing that Braxton has been wearing that irritate his skin, not allowing it to breathe. After his bath, I have been applying the intense baby moisturizer all over his skin while it is still a bit damp. Next, I use the flare control cream,I focusing on his areas of flare-ups. Between baths, I apply the flare control cream on his affected areas as a bedtime ritual. This has really helped to keep my son’s eczema under control. Exederm is truly the best product I have ever used on my son and I will continue to use it. The results we have seen are amazing.
