Beauty Box 5 is a subscription-based, beauty sampling program that delivers a box filled with 5 cosmetic samples to your door every month. Aimed at introducing women to new cosmetic products and educating them on best practices, Beauty Box 5 scours the market to find the best products for your lifestyle.
How it Works: You simply select the subscription plan that works best for you. Every month you’ll be sent a mixture of carefully selected travel, deluxe and full-size samples.
I was sent the June 2014 Beauty Box 5 to review. There is always a card included which describes each product in the current month’s box.
Below is a breakdown of the products I received in my June 2014 box and my thoughts on each product. (This month’s theme is “Summer Chic.”)
Nicka K New York Nail Color (full size)
My Thoughts: Having two teenage daughters in the house who love doing their nails and changing their polish colors as often as I change my underwear (daily of course) means that there can be no shortage of beautiful, bright and trendy nail colors on hand. Personally, I do not use any nail color, but my daughters sported this lovely Nicka K New York Nail Color (in Ripe Apple) for their 4th of July theme on their nails this year. It is long lasting and stunning!
Organix Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner (sample packets)
My Thoughts: Although these were just small sample packets, allowing for a one time use on my thick hair, I loved the intoxicating coconut fragrance and my hair was left luxuriously clean and hydrated.
Glam Naturals Mascara (in black, sample size)
My Thoughts: Although I appreciate that this mascara is vegan and paraben free (which helps not to irritate my sensitive eyelids) it did not seem to be very thick and dark the way I like my mascara to look on my lashes, so I gave it to my 16 year old daughter who absolutely loves it.
Eslor Introductory Collection (sample packets)
Eslor Introductory Collection provides 4 sample sachets of the
following products:
following products:
1) Eslor Soothing Refiner and Cleanser
2) Eslor Replenishing Scrub
3) Eslor Comforting Mask
4) Eslor Soothing Cream
My Thoughts: I cannot truly get a feel of a product unless I get a chance to use it for at least a week, but these products smelled nice and felt great on my skin, even if I only got to barely dab them on because of the tiny amount of product in the package. I would love the chance to try out this beauty line in full sized samples.
Vita Bath body wash in Dreamy Pink Frosting (sample size)
My Thoughts: I am a huge fan of Vitabath products. I love the luxurious foamy lather of this body wash. It is really hydrating and perfect for shaving my legs. I love the yummy sweet frosted cupcake fragrance.
My products from my June 2014 Beauty Box. Oops, I just noticed that the mascara is missing. (My daughter must have ran off with it.)
