• 1 banana
• 5 or 6 strawberries, preferably frozen
• 1/4 cup orange juice more or less, depending on how thick or thin you want it
• 3 tablespoons virgin coconut oil – liquefied
• 3 tablespoons organic whole milk vanilla yogurt
• 3 ice cubes
• Blend everything together in blender!

 

It was so yummy! I could taste the delicious touch that the coconut oil added to it. It made it perfect! Plus, you can't beat the health benefits that it adds.

 

Next, we decided to try our hand at using the coconut oil for some of its beauty benefits. As for me, I was out of eye makeup remover. The facial cleanser I am currently using stings my eyes. I scooped up a tiny bit of coconut oil and added it to a cotton ball. I swiped it gently across my eyes and it effectively removed all of my eye makeup. My eyelids are usually pretty sensitive to many products I have tried, but the coconut oil did not irriate my eyelids or my eyes. I think I will use it from now on!

 

Kendallyn used it as a deep conditioning treatment. After shampooing, she added about a tablespoon of coconut oil to her long hair. She combed it in, from her roots to the ends. She then put a towel around her head and allowed the coconut oil to penetrate her hair for 15 minutes. She shampood again to make certain that there was no oil left behind. After blow drying her hair, it was beautifully soft and shiny.
