I cannot believe another year has passed! I always love my Degusta Box because there is always something fun, delicious and tasty to look forward to each month, and the subscription price is way less than the value of the box and all of the goodies in it!
I almost ran out of time to review my December Degusta Box because of the insanely busy holidays, but thankfully, I did get around to it. The theme this month was Winter Comforts, and there were plenty of comfort foods and snacks to get me through some stressful days of getting my holiday shopping done!
I must make note that I did not get original pictures of each item in this month’s box due to the fact that my husband grabbed some of the goodies on his way out the door to work before I got the chance to photograph them all! Who can blame him?
Campfire Mini Marshmallows
I got two packages of Campfire Mini Marshmallows: a giant 1-pound bag of original minis for baking, and a smaller 1-ounce bag of fruit flavored minis. The bag of original marshmallow minis ended up being a life-saver on Christmas Eve, when my mom called and asked if we happened to have any to top off the yams! Have you ever had homemade yams with melted marshmallows on top? It is pretty heavenly. As for the fruit flavored ones, I remember eating them and liking them when I was little, but I don’t think I have had them since I was little. Both varieties are gluten free & fat-free and the original version contains no artificial coloring.
Bahlsen Iced Cinnamon Stars
Who doesn’t love Christmas cookies? These were quite irresistible to my husband who grabbed them on his way out the door for work. I didn’t even get to taste them, but they looked so good! These cute little star-shaped cookies make for a festive party treat. They’re flavored with hazelnuts & cinnamon and are coated in a smooth white icing. So pretty!
Garden of Life Maple Sea Salt GOL Bar
Gol Bar is an organic protein bar made with whole foods including dates, cashew butter, milk protein concentrate, pecans, and maple flavor. It’s packed with 13 grams of fiber, 12 grams of protein, and 25% of the recommended daily value of calcium. Good thing my husband doesn’t like health food bars! I got this delicious Gol Bar all to my self! I loved every bite, and will definitely buy these.
Chimes Original Ginger Chews
I love ginger chews! The Chimes ginger chews were the best I have ever had! I think they are addictive, because I ate the entire package in one sitting. I don’t usually pig out like that, but I knew that no one else in my family would have even remotely liked them. I have very picky family members, and that often works to my advantage! These chews have a great, spicy kick of real ginger. They are great for nausea/ and even morning sickness, which would have been great during my own pregnancies (were ginger chews even invented 12 years ago? I had never even heard of them until recently.) They’re also gluten-free, vegan-friendly, and non-GMO.
Vahdam Tea Sampler
Vahdam Teas sampler contained 5 different varieties of teas to sample: Organic Himalayan, Chamomile Mint Citrus, India’s Original Chai Tea, arjeeling Summer, and Turmeric Spiced. I personally do not drink tea, but my daughter-in-law loves it, so I gifted this tea sampler to her for Christmas.
G.H. Cretors The Mix Popped Corn
“The Mix” is a sweet & salty combination of rich, buttery caramel corn and premium aged cheddar cheese corn. It’s made with non-GMO popcorn, real cheddar cheese, and other all natural ingredients. Two 1.5-ounce bags were included.
Of course I love this delicious combination of sweet and salty, so I ate both bags myself. I did not feel the least bit guilty, however because the bags were small, and hey, it is popcorn!
