Dei Fratelli Ripened Recipe Contest 2014

Dei Fratelli is celebrating National Tomato Month with their 7th Annual Dei Fratelli Ripened Recipe Contest. There are lots of prizes to be won!

Share your favorite recipe(s) … and you could win Dei Fratelli products for an entire year! But hurry …all recipes must be submitted on or before November 15, 2014!

I love Dei Fratelli tomato products! They are the freshest canned tomatoes ever! Whenever I make homemade chili, they are the only brand that I use. Here is my favorite recipe using Dei Fratelli

EASY CHILI

PREP: 5 MINS COOK: 20 MINS TOTAL: 25 MINS

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. ground beef

2 (14.5 oz) cans diced Dei Fratelli tomatoes (undrained)

2 (15 oz.) cans beans, undrained (black beans, kidney beans, a combo, or whatever you like)

1 small white onion, diced

2 Tbsp. chili powder

(optional toppings: shredded cheese, chopped green onions, sour cream, cilantro, etc.)

DIRECTIONS:

In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, stirring frequently. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the onion is cooked and softened.
