Dei Fratelli Ripened Recipe Contest 2014

1 lb. ground beef

2 (14.5 oz) cans diced Dei Fratelli tomatoes (undrained)

2 (15 oz.) cans beans, undrained (black beans, kidney beans, a combo, or whatever you like)

1 small white onion, diced

2 Tbsp. chili powder

(optional toppings: shredded cheese, chopped green onions, sour cream, cilantro, etc.)

In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, stirring frequently. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the onion is cooked and softened.

Recipes using six ingredients or less and/or that can be prepared in under 45 minutes will receive a bonus from the judges as consumers are looking for simple and quick meals that are flavorful.
