Face it! Winter can be woefully harsh on skin. Your face is always exposed to the elements whether it be rain, wind or bitter cold. You cannot really cover up your face with warm clothing because, well then you could not see anything! In these colder months I have always hated how chapped and dry my face gets. I get red rough dry patches that aren't too pretty. And then when you go indoors, there is the heat. Needless to say your skin goes from one extreme to the other and these temperature differences can really wreak havoc on your skin.

A lot of skin care products on the market claim to be good for your skin, but look at the labels! You will often find ingredients that you cannot even pronounce, let alone identify! Conventional beauty products can contain pesticides, methyl, butyl and propyl parabens, propylene or butylene glycols, mineral oil, sulphates, PEGs, TEA, DEA, phthalates, triclosan, GMO, silicones, artificial dyes and fragrances, formaldehyde and more. I received samples of Edimi's Deep Pore Cleanser, Tightening Rejuvenator, Skin Defender Cleanser, and Michael Todd's KNU Anti-Aging Face Lift Serum and  Liposome Antioxidant Moisturizer to review.

Deep Pore Cleanser

Penetrates deeper within the pores than any other cleanser on the market today. This makes it possible for creams and serums to get to their target and do their job. Bumps under skin need deep pore cleanser. No harmful chemicals, no drying agents, non-burning and no irritation. May cause slight tingling effect.

Directions: Apply nightly.

What It’s For: For stubborn and solidified sebum under the surface that can cause bacteria growth and skin fungus. Great for acne, oily, pimple and smoker skin.

My Experience: I use this cleanser at night when my skin is especially oily. I am amazed that it cleanses so deeply and yet does not dry out my skin like other deep pore cleansers tend to do. After I apply my serums and facial treatments, they seem to penetrate much deeper because of the clean surface of my skin.

Tightening Rejuvenator

For the millions of people having "botulism" injected in the name of a youthful, wrinkle-less skin, there IS another way. This smooth gel, whose active ingredient comes from France, will help your skin to feel young again.

Directions: After cleansing, apply liberally to face & neck. Gently smooth into Skin. No moisturizer required. Use morning and night.

What It’s For: Sagging Skin, wrinkles, lines around eyes and mouth, turkey neck, loss of elasticity.

My Experience: I actually gave this product to my mother to try out. She is 66 years old. My mom has been complaining for a long time about her wrinkles and has been in the market for a good products that truly work. She was thrilled to receive the Tightening Rejuvenator. From the first application she noticed that her skin was definitely tighter and her wrinkles looked smoothed and were less pronounced. Her skin looked soft, beautiful and radiant after I saw her a week after she started using it. She looked like she had 'some work done.' My mother is very impressed with this product!

Skin Defender Cleanser

Skin Defender cleans gently yet thoroughly then rinses without residue leaving skin feeling clean, soft and smooth. Blended with Alpha Hydroxy Acid to improve the appearance of fine lines, blotches and discoloration and Organic Green Tea and Citrus Extracts of Lemons and Oranges to help fight environmental stressors. Skin is more vibrant, even-toned and radiant looking. Prepares the skin for serums and moisturizer.

Directions: Wet face and hands with warm water. Apply cleanser onto hands and gently massage onto damp face in upward, circular motions. Rinse thoroughly.

My Experience: I use this cleanser in the shower all over my face, neck and chest area at night. It removes all of my makeup and does not burn my eyes. It is creamy and does not dry out my skin. I love the way it leaves my skin feeling, almost like I do not need a moisturizer, but of course I always use one. This product is meant for mature or dry skin, but my teenage daughters use it too, as a daily cleanser and they love how gentle it is on their skin.

KNU Anti-Aging Face Lift Serum

A soothing cream moisturizer made with organic ingredients and liposomes to transport antioxidants deep into the skin to restore and maintain healthy skin, counteract sun damage and fight premature skin aging and wrinkles.

 

Directions: Apply twice a day to face and neck all over, or where needed. For best results, use after facial cleanser and toner. Allow for absorption before applying makeup. May also be used as a 5-minute mask: massage onto clean skin and blot off excess with a tissue.

 

Who It’s For: All skin types except oily

 

My Experience: I use this highly moisturizing cream at night because it is so very moisturizing. It is a great night cream! My teenage daughters have drier skin, especially with the cooler weather and they are using this as their day cream. It makes your skin very supple and is heavy enough to keep your skin hydrated all day long, which is great for protecting it against harsh winter weather.
