In 2015, the ubiquitous 1960’s pop culture icon celebrates its 50th Anniversary! This year marks a half-century of Lava® Lamps in the United States, which has been featured in countless TV shows, movies, magazines and more. In honor of its golden anniversary, the ever-popular “original shape of cool” has created a limited edition 50th collection for its fans!
For the past five decades, Lava Lite, LLC® has been the global manufacturer of Lava® Lamps worldwide and sells millions of Lava Lamps annually! Lava Lite is always evolving and staying relevant. The lamps have premium features included: gold painted base & cap, embossed 50th anniversary logo on the base, certificate of authenticity, and either an easy-access switch on the base or a dimmer switch, depending on the size of the lamp.
My thoughts: What can I say about Lava Lamps? I LOVE THEM! I have owned several different ones throughout my lifetime. I have always counted on my Lava Lamps to brighten up my life! They are very cheerful and colorful as well as very soothing. Whenever I had sleepless nights ‘worrying about boys or just the stresses of life throughout my tumultuous teen year, my Lava Lamp was there to soothe me. Just watching the mesmerizing flow of action that goes on in a Lava Lamp made me feel serenity and peace.
My children love them, too. There is always a Lava Lamp illuminating one ore more rooms every night in my household.
This photo (below) doesn’t do my Lava Lamp justice. It hadn’t heated up yet when I took the picture, but I LOVE it anyway!
