I hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas! I know we certainly are. I got everything done in record time, including getting a picture taken with my little Braxton on Santa's lap. He hates Santa, but since his friend Billy showed him it wasn't too bad, then Braxton decided he'd give it a shot. Yay!!!! I got my long awaited picture!
I got to go finish up my Christmas shopping, Friday night….December 23rd….my 40th birthday. I was alone and I loved it! I got it all done!
Then, on Christmas Eve, we had dinner at my parents house, as we traditionally do. It was my precious Mommy and Daddy, my 32 year old brother, Scott and his girlfriend (who happens to be his pomeranian, Lisa Marie.) Then there was my sweet baby brother Shaun and his wife, Kenzie. (They are up visiting from Rexburg Idaho where they are going to school.) My wonderful sister Kim (who is my rock) and her husband, Dax and their two little ones (Braxton's bestest buddies) were also in attendance. Am I missing anybody? I don't think so.
We ended up breaking tradition and unwrapping that night, although that needs to be implemented as a new tradition because my parents have an empty house on Chritmas day usually anymore. So it was a lot of fun to unwrap and exchange gifts. The only problem was, poor Kimmy had gifts for my entire family and I had not a one for her clan. Oh, well, perhaps I will knit her a pot holder one day.
Isn't my family gorgeous? From left to right: Kendallyn, Jon (my husband) Me, Myelie, Braxton (the little one) and my oldest, Jonathan. I have good kids:)
Anyway this morning after we got up at 7am and unwrapped presents, we went to church, which was luckily only an hour long today. (Normally it is 3 hours.)
My kids got great presents btw! They were very happy with their treasures. We even gave a large stocking full of treasures to a less fortunate little girl at church today. I hope she liked it.
Now we are off to my in-laws for another Christmas celebration for the rest of this day. I cannot wait until I can go to bed tonight!
Merry Christmas, Everyone!!!!!
