It is a lovely evening here in Estacada. My husband is outside in our gorgeous back yard playing or I should say practicing golf. It is soooo nice to have a property big enough for that. My eldest son, Jonathan isn’t that interested in golf, so he was just out there hanging with his Dad. My daughters have been enjoying climbing trees and picking the newly ripening cherries. I am so glad they still enjoy playing outside.
Poor little Braxton is asleep in my arms, which is peaceful to me, as he has been sick with a cough, runny nose and fever for about 48 hours and has been so very clingy. When he is sick, he only wants his mama. It is an honor to be his mommy and to be ‘wanted’ like this because they do grow up and soon, he won’t want me at all.
This poor kid has diarreah, too. Sitting in his diaper as we speak, but he is sleeping and I need this peaceful moment although it reeks, but I have been unable to use the internet to catch up on my Mommy Blog for a few days. Plus Braxton has huge tantrums when I change his diaper, so I will wait a bit longer. He needs to sleep. He is still nursing and seems to only want my nipple in his mouth for comfort when he is ill. I have soooo much milk, and I am pretty happy that I can nourish him, especially when he will not touch food. My milk comes in every hour or so, so my shirt will be wet with the telltale signs of two damp spots if I go too long. This especially gets embarrassing for me in stores, so I am constantly pushing on my breats to stop the ‘gushes’ in public and I am certain it looks as though I am fondling myself at times.
Boy, Braxton is stinky, but I love this special little boy and I will see him through his sickness…no matter what it takes.
