Do you ever take your antidepressant, with an extra dose of worry about the side effects? If so, you’re not alone. In fact, 73% of people on SSRI’s report side effects including nausea, headaches, sexual dysfunction, gastrointestinal distress, and insomnia.
There is a way to feel Even on your medication. Even for SSRI’s is a medical food scientifically formulated to manage nutrient depletions associated with reuptake inhibitors. This nutrient support system is thoughtfully and scientifically designed to get you back to balance, with doses of bioavailable B vitamins, chelated minerals, probiotics and mitochondrial antioxidants.
I have been taking antidepressants for over 20 years. While taking antidepressants helps me stay mentally balanced, I hate the side effects that come with taking them.
After many years of being on antidepressants, I only recently learned that this type of medication has been proven to deplete the body of certain nutrients. These depletions can lead to an unbalance of bodily functions.
I have been taking multivitamins for years, but I never really knew which ones my body needed or was lacking. I had no idea that there was a solution available to help balance the depletions of nutrients my body is being deprived of because of my antidepressant.
Thankfully, I learned about Even. Even was created by doctors and backed by science. This formulation was designed to replete nutrients and balance biochemistry so that you can get the benefits of your antidepressant and feel your best.
As I said before, I did not know that my medication was possibly harming my body by depleting it of certain nutrients.
As a lifelong sufferer of depression (thanks to genetics) I have tried around 15 different anti-depressants over the last twenty years in my search for a good mental balance. Although I am currently experiencing a healthy mental state (thank heavens!) I never truly felt 100% balanced. It was always as if something was off, even though my depressive symptoms were lessened.
Although I have been in a pretty good place mentally for the past few years (thanks to a newer antidepressant I started taking) I really did not have a lot of motivation or mental energy to get things done. I always wished I was a go-getter like some other Moms I know, who enjoy doing activities such as cooking and crafting- but I just wasn’t.
So- I ordered a three-month subscription of Even to try it out. I started taking it the second week of September (of 2021.) I have been taking two capsules daily (as directed) along with my antidepressant.
And then, at the end of November, I began to notice subtle changes in myself. I felt an excitement for life that I hadn’t felt in a long time. I started actually WANTING to cook, to try new recipes for my family. I was able to focus better and get projects done that I had been putting off. I have been crossing things off of my to-do list that have been there forever!
My husband noticed the difference. My children noticed the difference, my parents also noticed the difference. I am happier than I have been in as long as I can remember. I am usually stressed out during the holiday season, and I am normally too tired to do anything- but I am almost done Christmas shopping and I even made fudge!
I have so much mental energy and I feel a sort of freedom that I had not felt in years. I feel confident and even beautiful. (I used to stress too much about my appearance. Now I do my makeup in under 5 minutes and go!)
And another thing I have noticed is my newfound libido. Being on an antidepressant as long as I have been, you sort of lose your mojo- so I am very happy with this change! Yes, that is TMI (too much information), but it is true, just ask my husband. He is blushing!
Also, strangely enough, I had thought that I was in menopause because I hadn’t had a period in 3 years- and now my period is back, so I think that somehow, my hormonal health was being affected in some way by my antidepressant depleting my body of certain nutrients. This is not a bad thing! I was not ready for menopause!
The only thing different in my life is that I have been taking EVEN. Two capsules each day. I was told that it may take around 90 days to see and feel a difference in your health, and I have definitely started to notice several differences. Gone is my mental and physical ‘sludge’ (which is the best way to describe how I felt before taking Even.) I just feel so much healthier than I have felt in a long time.
