Gardenia Enfleurage Process: One of the oldest processes of obtaining pure essential oils, the Gardenia Enfleurage technique extracts the pure aroma of actual Gardenia flowers, treating the blossoms extremely delicately, and obtaining pure, natural, chemical-free and true flower oil. Obtained from flowers in the South American Andes in a unique microclimate that sits 1600 meters above seal level, gardenia flowers bloom all year long.
Freshly opened flowers are picked in the morning or evening and laid on trays, covered in layers of vegetable butters. The flowers stay on the butter for 24 hours and are then replaced with fresh blossoms. Once the butter absorbs the scent from the flowers, the butter, which is now called pomade, and then washed to obtain the resulting oil. This process is repeated several times, ensuring the natural properties of the flowers, including antioxidants, are preserved. Retains the flower’s purest essence and antioxidants.
