Every home owner knows that tackling spruce up projects, especially those involving painting, can quickly rack up the cost or the stress. It’s very easy to save tons of money by painting your home yourself but most of us don’t know the right tools to use for patching, priming and painting.
Enter 3M Patch Plus Primer; a cost-effective and efficient way to prepare your walls for painting with an all-in-one kit that includes everything you need:
- 3M’s revolutionary Patch plus primer
- Four-inch self-adhesive patch
- Putty knife
- Sanding pad.
After your walls are prepped, painter’s tape is the perfect tool for sharper paint lines. New ScotchBlue Multi-Surface and Delicate Surface tapes now have Advanced Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector, making it easy for you to paint your walls without worrying about uneven paint lines!
My son, Braxton’s room was in dire need of a fresh paint job. His walls had holes in them that needed patching. He had also marked and scribbled all over his walls with marker and crayon. I did not see how we were going to cover this up!
The above is what one of Braxton’s walls looked like before I used Enter 3M Patch Plus Primer. I had never done a project like this before. Usually it is my husband who does any household repairs or painting jobs, but he has been out of town for work so much that I gave it a try myself. I was amazed at how easy it was. This products worked great and dried very quickly. I think I did a really good job patching things up. After my paint job (two coats), you can’t even tell that there was a hole there! (See below.)
I used the ScotchBlue Multi-Surface tape around the windows and door frames to keep paint from getting everywhere, and I think that I did a great job, considering this was my first time painting a room all by myself. (I don’t think I would have done as well if I did not have the help that I did from 3M.)
