My Experience: I watched this adorable movie with my family on a family movie night that we have every Monday evening. First of all, it really hits close to home in the way that we have a big huge husky named Vader who reminds me of Meatball. (The big dog in the film.) My brother has a tiny pomeranian named Lisa Marie (who looks exactly like the pom, Cassie in the film.) I often 'babysit' Lisa Marie while Scott is out of town. Vader and Lisa Marie are always at odds. They could not be more opposites as Vader is a 'big, slobbery happy guy' who loves to play catch and Lisa is, well, a 'princess diva' who needs to be indoors, pampered and does not like to be bothered at all by Vader. Life imitates art in this scenario.
Anyway, we loved the movie. It was hilarious. The dog trainers did a really good job getting the dogs in the movie to do the things they were supposed to do to make evrything look believable. The beautiful snowy scenery was breathtaking. It was a lot of fun to watch and lots of laughs. Step Dogs is a perfect family movie to snuggle up with on a cold winter evening.
