I am so very glad the storm is over! There was a weather warning of thunder and lightning and a possible tornado in Oregon, and that was kind of scary. The sky did get dark, and the thunder was louder than I have ever heard it. The rain came down in sheets, but now everything is calm out there.
My husband took our sons to his parents house right before the storm, so that gave me a chance to do some housework. What else can you do in thunder and lightning? I have heard to stay away from windows, computers, phones and t.v………….so I did the dishes and the laundry. Yay! I am done! I mean, there is always more I could do, but I am tired and doing the basics is really doing alot (for me.) I really have a hard time accomplishing anything with my little toddler needing my attention every moment, but alas, I got some stuff done.
I felt pretty peaceful today. No depressed feelings. Maybe because today was not as hot, and Braxton is afraid of wind in the trees (go figure) so I didn’t have to chase him outside too much. We played with rubber bouncy balls this morning on the kitchen floor. That made him happy. Poor little guy was awake much of the night last night due to a plugged up nose. He still has his cold, but no lung congestion, or I’d have brought him to the doctor today. Anyway, Braxton took his first morning nap in three months, so I enjoyed the blissful quiet that I don’t usually get from 11-2pm. He would have slept longer, but I had to take him with me to pick up the kids from school.
The kids are out of school for the summer next week. Gosh it seems as though Christmas wasn’t too long ago and now it is summertime? Wow! Time does fly.
