A Family, Beauty, Health and Lifestyle Blog
My Internet is down for awhile, and so to my inconvenience I can only use it sparingly, like tonight as we are at my parents house for dinner. Thank heavens they live close by. I am thankful to have such a great family, (not just for the internet, of course:) This evening we were celebrating my new sister-in-law's 19th birthday. In my family, birthdays are a big deal. My sweet mom always makes certain that everybody feels special on their birthdays. It is a beautiful evening. We went to church this morning and now my dad is playing a mean game of badminton outside with my husband and kids. (I should be out there, too, but here I am on the internet catching up on email and my beloved blog.) Anyway, I am thankful that my dad is such a kid at heart. He loves to play with his grandchildren. My mom is a kid at heart, too. She is just very playful and fun to be around. I love my parents very much! My children LOVE my parents, too. They are the bestest grandparents a kid could ever ask for:)
Today my entire family willingly got up and got dressed for church. We were fifteen minutes late, but by gosh, we went! What a milestone for my family! I felt very suuccessful. When it was time for Braxton to go to nursery, he did alright, other than the fact that the teacher had to get us a couple of times, but we brought him back in each time. Braxton needs to get used to this as my goal is to go to church every Sunday. It is great for my soul, and for my children to make good friends. I love the support from the other people who are just their to buoy each other up as well as learn the things we are suppossed to learn to get us through this life. It is so wonderful to be at a place where I know I am not alone:)
Happy Father's day to all of the Dads out there, I almost forgot to say because it was yesterday. I had gotten ready and had gone to church, and our family which included Jon, me and our four children, took separate cars and each headed the wrong way because there are more tha one way to get to church, and when I got there, Jon and his passengers decided they were too late and ended up not going. Isn't that sweet? I guess they figure that if you take the time to get all dressed up for church, and actually pull up to the church parking lot (Without ever going in) They seem to think that that counts in the Lord's eyes. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Only me and Kendallyn actually went into the church to stay. I really hope that God is a merciful God and can see into our hearts, because I try hard to do things right and I hope he knows that. P.S. I love my Daddy!
I got ready today and went to church. I had planned on the entire family coming with me, but alas, I secretly enjoyed actually getting there on time and being able to not have to chase my little guy the entire time up and down the hallways. My two girls came with me and they are very well behaved. (Well, only in church, not at home. They are quite snotty at home.)
I took a nap with my toddler when I got home at one, but it didn't help that my teenager, Jonathan kept bursting into my room asking me questions, and his dirtbike was pretty dang loud outside as he and his friend rode (will that kid ever go home?)
