Did you know that September is National Breakfast Month? I didn’t know that, but I am more than happy to celebrate it! Breakfast is a staple in homes across the country and while it can range from toast to eggs to yogurt, pancakes are an all-time family favorite. Krusteaz, makers of premium pancake and waffle mixes, is launching a new Buttermilk Protein Pancake mix this fall!
With 13g of added protein, it’s the perfect way to keep your family full and energized all day long. In keeping with Krusteaz’s commitment to simplified and wholesome ingredients, the new protein pancake is free of partially hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives.
Pancakes are the number one breakfast choice and all all-around family favorite at my house. Krusteaz is the only brand of pancake mix I have ever used, and my family loves them! I was especially excited when I discovered this new Buttermilk Protein Pancake mix. Sometimes pancakes are all I can get my 5th grader to eat, so now that Krusteaz has mixes with added protein, I love this amazing brand even more!
I always make a delicious, hearty breakfast for my children’s first day back to school. Wouldn’t you know, Braxton requested pancakes! I decided to make them extra special, using fresh peaches and blueberries that I picked a couple of days ago. The recipe I used is below. (I took it from Krusteaz’s website, but added a few of my own touches. Enjoy!
