Beauty Box 5 is so much fun at my house. My two teenage daughters and I get so excited when it arrives! It is actually fun to bond over new beauty products and discoveries.
I received the October 20124 Beauty Box 5 to review. The theme for October is ‘glamorous simplicity’. This month’s products give you an effortless look in just a few minutes, so you can primp, prime, and be flawlessly out the door in no time!
Each box comes with a card indexing each product. Below are the contents of this month’s box and a breakdown of my thoughts about each.
First there was a nice tube of Chapstick Hydration Lock (full-sized)
I love Chapstick! This dual formula feels amazing on my lips. Both ends make my lips feel hydrated and smooth. I keep it next to my bed and always apply it as the last part of my beauty routine. This prevents my lips from becoming chapped and dry at night.
Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek and Lip Stain in Pink (full sized)
This light weight lip and cheek stain adds the perfect pop of color to pale fall skin! I absolutely love it for my cheeks, and my oldest daughters swears by it for a beautiful subtle lip color that she can top off with a touch of lip balm for shine.
Extend Your Beauty Cosmetic Tool (full-sized)
No doubt this is one of the more boring goodies in this month’s box, but a must-have all the same! It has been a life-saver this past week for my daughter who ran out of her beloved concealer! She was able to salvage the impossible-to-reach end of the product, thus us saving a trip to the drug store for at least a day!
Nanacoco Nail Polish in Magic Kingdom (full-sized)
This is an amazing shade of electric blue! It is so beautiful, and I actually wore it to church. Anyway, this brand is not the longest lasting formula I have ever worn, but perhaps if I added a top coat it would have stayed on longer.
Lashem Picture Perfect Instant Wrinkle Reducer (sample sized)
I have not yet really used this product because I don’t really have wrinkles. (Thankfully.) But I did read that it can be used as a primer to create a smooth surface for putting on makeup. I will probably give that a try.
All in all, this month’s box was a pretty good one, full of products that really come in handy!
