As the plant matures, the sheath falls to the ground and most often is unutilized. Our process collects these sheaths and then they are cleaned, boiled, laminated to the desired thickness, and pressed into shape. The result is disposable dinnerware that is elegant, strong and 100% biodegradable.  Sheath products can be reused several times with proper care.

Our reusable BambooWare product line is a revolutionary dishware that is eco-friendly, biodegradable, beautiful and durable.  The process begins by taking the fiber of bamboo plants five years or older and grinding it into a fine powder.  Utilizing a patented process, we mold this material into beautiful, durable, eco-friendly plates, bowls and trays that are all 100% biodegradable. I received a variety of Bambooware from the Disposable as well as the Reusable Collection. I am impressed with the quality and durability of each piece.

I love the disposable bamboo sheath plates. They would be perfect for picnics, family reunions or back yard BBQs.  They are made from 100% natural aged bamboo sheath. They are naturally antimicrobial, which is awesome because you can use them again if you wipe them off with a moist cloth. No soap is needed. They come in handy packs of 8. They are also great conversation starters!

The products I received from the Reusable Collection are very nice! Each piece is FDA approved, food safe, and dishwasher safe. I am always worried about chemicals used in the bowls and plates that I use, especially in the microwave because you never know what toxins are being released into your food while you are cooking it. With this Bambooware, I am not at all worried about that because it is all natural bamboo.

The salad tongs and the eating utensils are also durable, high quality and safely made, too. I love Bamboo Studio products. Think green!
