When it comes to monthly monthly subscription food boxes, my very favorite is Degustabox! Each month I receive a large box filled with full-sized goodies from Degustabox.
There’s usually something sweet, something salty, something healthful and something to use in a recipe….plus more! More often than not, I am introduced to foods that I would have not otherwise have tried. I have discovered many new delicious treats that I had never heard of. Degustabox is so much fun. I look forward to it every month!
I loved April’s box! There was quite the variety of sweet and sour deliciousness this month. Here’s what I received:
ALO Spring Aloe Juice- My newest obsession is ALO juice drinks. I absolutely love the fact that there are slimy chunks of the aloe plant throughout the drink. Doesn’t that sound strange? I don’t know why it I love it, as my daughter gags as the mere thought of it. I guess I can understand if a person had no idea that their drink had these clear-ish little ‘balls of mucous” floating around, as these aloe vera drinks have. I love putting my Alo drink in the freezer and letting it get all slushy. There is nothing more refreshing! I love the mixed berry flavor. I hadn’t tried it before.
Country Archer Jerky Co – I didn’t get the chance to try out this jerky. My oldest son was craving some good jerky, so I let him have it. I wonder if it would have been too spicy for me? I guess I will just have to wonder. But that’s what mamas do, we give to our children, right?
popchips nutter puffs- I like Pop Chips, but I didn’t really like the peanut butter flavor. It was kind of blah.
Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP- This month’s box came with two flavors of popcorn. The cheddar cheese popcorn tastes so yummy while the real butter popcorn is simply delicious. Both don’t have any “junk” in them, only real ingredients. I really enjoyed both of these flavors, and I was thankful that nobody asked me to share with them. Victory!
La Tortilla Factory- I haven’t used these yet, but plan to make my chicken enchiladas with them soon. I can’t wait to try these because it says that they have a blend of corn and wheat flour. I bet that will be tastier than just the usual flour ones I use They’re also packed with 14 grams of whole grain while not containing any bad fats.
La Tortilla Factory Slow Cooker Sauce Starter- I have not yet used this sauce starter, but it looks absolutely delicious and it looks easy to make! All you need is a slow cooker, chicken, and this packet of Barbacoa slow cooker sauce to make delicious street-style tacos.
Goya Plantain Chips- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE plantain chips! I actually tried them for the first time in a previous Degustabox a few months ago. When you see the bag, you naturally think that they are going to taste like banana chips because plantains resemble bananas, (and are of the same family) but they are not sweet, so it is like eating sugar-free banana chips. They are very addictive and delicious!
Torie & Howard – These little chewy candies are sooooo delicious! I wish the package was bigger. (That’s what she said…) I could chew on these fruity little pieces of heaven all day long! They are USDA Organic & Kosher certified, Non-GMO, gluten, allergen, and contain no artificial flavors or colors. Let’s just say they did not last long,and I did not even share any! Oops!
Zeigler’s-I love all kinds and varieties of fruit juices, but I never thought I would like carrot juice. Mixed with Mango & Citrus it is absolutely delicious. Packed with vitamins and a serving of fruits and veggies, this juice is the perfect juice for your daily dose of healthful goodness.
Amazin’ Raisin)- I was skeptical about these at first because who ever heard of lemon or strawberry raisins? Surprisingly, they were so tasty and satisfying! I could see taking these into a movie theater (okay, SNEAKING them into a movie theater) and eating them throughout the movie because they are so much better than candy!
Fini Sweets- These sweet/ tart /tangy treats were all kinds of fun! I tasted each one, but didn’t really eat them because I am not a huge fan of ‘sour’ candy. It has never been really appealing to me, but I I LOVED the pop rocks on the Fizzy Tornadoes!
