Iconic French luxury beauty brand T. LeClerc is returning to United States distribution after an absence of several years. I, for one, am very excited about this great news! I have always been a huge fan of T. LeClerc.
There are few cosmetics brands with the history and quality that T. LeClerc brings to the marketplace, and now it is available again in the United States.
The French brand had deep penetration for many decades in upscale independent boutiques and in select department stores, becoming a cult/niche item over the years.
The powders! Anyone who has ever experienced T. LeClerc powders know the quality of just how finely that powder is milled. They established the brand in 1881 and continue to be the hallmark product and T. LeClerc’s best selling category. The powders come in many color-correcting options, which is why makeup artists have depend on them.
With a new distributor on board to bring product to American retailers, T. LeClerc is looking to re-establish its place in the beauty landscape, offering clients a full makeup range to discover and fall in love with, offering French quality at competitive price points.
In 1881 pharmacist and beauty lover, Théophile LeClerc created the first powder derived from rice starch in a manufacturing process that sterilized the powder and still remains a closely guarded secret.
With its soft warm hue and incredibly fine texture, the powder became a sensation because it enhanced and efficiently corrected the complexions of Belle Epoque French women. In its 142 years, T. LeClerc expanded its product range to encompass each category of makeup (including bronzers, mascaras, eye shadows, and foundations) with attention to detail, including formulations with top-quality ingredients including vitamins before much of the industry adapted the focus on healthy skin. Most of the line is still manufactured in France, ensuring product quality and consistency.
Retailers will have the ability to offer the entire line to their clients, or to provide an edited matrix of product.
T. LeClerc has embraced innovation and modernity over the years and is now a vegan and cruelty-free brand, in alignment with the consumer demands for more eco-conscious product options.
