I can’t believe a week has passed already since we went to the beach. Today was a long but enjoyable day that I spent with my husband and children. Well, I got the notion yesterday afternoon to book a night at my favorite hotel, The Embassy Suites. So, my sweet husband agreed to take us and we arrived there about 4 pm (40miles away from our home) just so I could show my children a good time there at the hotel pool, as well as a little bit of the ‘fancy life.’ We were on the eighth floor and they have a glass elevator which is so much fun to ride up and down.
My little Braxton (3) just loves pushing the buttons. He loved looking out the elevator windows at the lovely scenery, waterfalls and beautiful foliage. The pool was refreshingly crystal clear and very clean. The hot tub was a bit too foamy, which indicates that it needed to be cleaned out……did you know that the more foam there is in a hot tub means that there is a chemical reaction taking place? Yep, the chlorine only gets foamy when there is more gunk in the water, like skin sludge.
Anyway, we had a wonderful time and the best part is the free incredible continental breakfast. There is everything from pancakes to custom made omelettes. Fruit, juices, milk, muffins, cereal…….pile your plates hish and dine there or take it all up to your room, which is what we did.
After we checked out of the hotel, we headed downtown to audition for a family outdoor adventure reality type show they are doing in Portland. Their company will pay a family and film them on their free vacation. I wouldn’t mind that. Show me the money. SHow me the free vaction, make my kids happy and film your hearts out!!!
I love my children and their happiness is everything to me:)
