The holidays are around the corner! This year, I have decided to give more earth-friendly gifts to those I love.
I recently discovered Rainforest Bowls, a sustainability-focused kitchenware brand that reclaims discarded coconut shells & turns them into eco-friendly bowls and utensils.
With Polished coconut bowls, Raw coconut bowls, unique artist-carved coconut bowls, utensils, and bamboo straws, you can outfit your dream sustainable, eco-friendly kitchen.
Rainforest Bowls kitchenware is the perfect gift for anyone who loves nature and appreciates earth-friendly gifts. I was given the chance to check out a few of Rainforest Bowl’s products, because I am a firm believer in using renewable resources as much as possible.
My favorite products so far are the Original Coconut Bowls. They come in 3 sizes- small, regular or jumbo. Made from a coconut shell, these beautiful bowls will definitely stand out in your collection of kitchenware. These bowls are the perfect size for a huge bowl of my favorite ice cream or perhaps a smaller portion of cereal.
Having these lovely coconut bowls in your home doesn’t only mean they can only hold food. By displaying the bowls on top of your end tables, they can store keys or little trinkets and immediately spice up your interiors. What’s more, they can remind you of the wonderful tropical places that you have or have yet to explore. Every time I look at my beautiful Rainforest Bowls, I think of Hawaii, and wish I was back there!
If you are looking for something more decorative, Rainforest Bowls has beautiful art bowls. Each artistic bowl is carefully hand-carved by talented artisans with intricate designs which symbolize something of nature. I received the Feather Coconut Bowl.
The tropics aren’t only about fun in the sun, but they’re also home to the exotic birds soaring over the forest canopy and chirping songs of the jungle. With this pleasant scenery in mind, the Feather Coconut Bowl was created. It is stunning! I use mine as a candy dish.
Each Rainforest Bowl is made from coconuts harvested from sustainable resources in Vietnam. The local craftspeople remove the husk and bore holes to pour out the coconut juice. Next, they cut the shell in half and scrape off the coconut meat.
With the use of sandpaper, the artisans sand and smooth the coconut shells’ edges and surfaces. Sanding these shells can reveal the naturally rich brown colors of the coconut bowls.
Every coconut bowl is polished to perfection with coconut oil. Polishing the coconut bowl with oil can hydrate it and make it longer-lasting.
I also received two beautiful Coconut Wood Cutlery. The Coconut Wood Cutlery’s beautiful color and wood grain come from its material: coconut timber. They perfectly match my coconut bowls!
Since the world has tried to cut down on the use of plastics, such as plastic straws, Rainforest Bowls offers the perfect solution with their Bamboo Straws.
A biodegradable and far more eco-friendly alternative to plastic straws, our Bamboo Straws are natural, reusable, and compostable too. When they’re finally thrown away, they go right back into the earth as organic matter. (Available in 2 straw sizes: regular, and boba.)
I carry mine with me in my purse, and I keep one in the car to use whenever I need a straw. I love my bamboo straws!
