Why is it important to use sunscreen on Cloudy days?

 

Up to 40 percent of the sun's ultraviolet radiation reaches the earth on a completely cloudy day. This misperception often leads to the most serious sunburns, because people spend all day outdoors with no protection from the sun.

 

 

 

I cringe when I think back on all of the times in my life when I have spent time outdoors in the Fall and the Winter, I never wore sunscreen. I just did not know that is was important. Thankfully I do not have any signs of premature aging or skin cancer as of yet, but who knows about later, when I am older? My father has had many instances of having pre-skin cancers removed from his skin. He never wore sunscreen either, and my skin type is similiar to his. The only thing I can do now is to make certain I never leave the house without sunscreen.

 

My job as a mother is to always make sure that my children are well covered with sunscreen when they go outside, whether it is sunny or overcast. My youngest child, Braxton goes outside every day for recess. There are football games on weekends, and soon there will be snowboarding. My Experience: I love the Marathon Mist for myself and my teenagers. It goes on quickly and dries fast. My girls have not complained that it 'messes up their makeup' because it is oil-free. It is perfect for on-the-go. The BullFrog Kids is perfect for a child like mine who does not like to sit still long for the application of sunscreen. I just make him close his eyes and I spray his little face, ears and the backof his neck and we are ready to roll! It smells grest, too!
