Cheap Essays vs Drugs for Writing –What is Better for Your Health?

March 24, 2018 by Juliann

When deadlines pile up and stress levels soar, it’s tempting to look for a quick fix—something that’ll help you focus, power through the workload, and maybe even spark a little genius. For students and writers alike, this often comes down to two questionable options: turning to brain-enhancing drugs or outsourcing assignments to budget essay services.

But which is actually better for your health, productivity, and peace of mind? Let’s break it down.

The Rise of “Smart” Drugs: A Risky Shortcut?

Prescription stimulants like Modafinil and Adderall are increasingly being misused by students, professionals, and creatives seeking enhanced concentration and extended focus. While these medications can provide short-term cognitive boosts for those with legitimate medical needs (like ADHD or narcolepsy), using them without a prescription carries serious risks.

Side effects may include:

  • Increased heart rate and blood pressure

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Mood swings, anxiety, or depression

  • Dependency/Addiction as well as withdrawal symptoms

Even so-called “mild” nootropics—over-the-counter supplements marketed as brain boosters—aren’t always backed by science and can interact poorly with other medications. Worse, many are unregulated, meaning you don’t always know what you’re getting.

The takeaway? Medicating for productivity isn’t a sustainable—or safe—solution.

What About Cheap Essay Services?

On the flip side, low-cost writing services have become a popular shortcut for overwhelmed students. But not all essay mills are created equal. While some offer decently written material, many deliver plagiarized, AI-generated, or low-quality work that could damage your academic integrity.

If you choose to go that route, look for trustworthy writing services such as cheap essays or cheap term papers for help.

Red flags to watch for include:

  • Unrealistically low prices

  • Poor grammar or awkward phrasing in samples

  • No clear refund or revision policy

  • Lack of transparency about the writer’s qualifications

Also, it’s worth considering the ethical implications. If the work isn’t your own, is it truly helping you grow, learn, or improve your skills?

Smarter, Healthier Alternatives to Both

If you’re struggling with a heavy workload, consider these safer, more productive strategies instead of drugs or ghostwriters:

Time Management

Use tools like Trello, Notion, or simple calendar blocking to break big assignments into manageable chunks.

Brain-Friendly Foods

Fuel your mind with foods rich in Omega-3s (like salmon and walnuts), antioxidants (like blueberries), and slow-releasing carbs (like oats and whole grains). Hydration matters, too.

Exercise

Even a 10-minute walk can boost cognitive function, relieve stress, and help you refocus.

Professional Tutoring or Editing Services

If you’re stuck, look for a professional tutor or a reputable writing coach—not someone to write it for you, but someone to help you do it better.

Mindfulness & Rest

Focus improves when you rest. A well-rested brain is sharper and more creative than a sleep-deprived one on stimulants.

The Bottom Line

Neither popping pills nor paying for online essays/term papers is a healthy or reliable way to tackle academic or creative challenges. Your brain is capable of amazing things—with the right support. Prioritize your health, learn smarter strategies, and don’t be afraid to ask for help that empowers rather than replaces your effort.

About This Blog

Juliann, founder of Beautiful Moms

Welcome to Beautiful Moms!

Hi! I'm Juliann, wife of 33 years to Jon, a mom to four amazing children, and a proud grandma to five precious little ones. I live in Oregon.

When I started Beautiful Moms in 2008, my goal was to connect with other moms who were also raising young children. It became a creative outlet for me to share my thoughts on motherhood, review products I loved, and work with brands that help make family life a little easier.

More importantly, I wanted moms to feel seen. It's so easy to lose ourselves in the demands of caring for everyone else and forget that our own well-being matters, too. Every mom deserves to feel beautiful, valued, and appreciated, no matter what stage of motherhood she's in.

Over the years, Beautiful Moms has evolved right along with me. My children are now all grown up, and I'm blessed to be a grandma.

Life changes so quickly

One thing that hasn't changed is my passion for encouraging other moms—it's simply expanded to include every season of motherhood—from pregnancy and baby's first years to raising teens, becoming an empty nester, navigating healthy aging, and everything in between.

Myelie, contributor at Beautiful Moms

I'm excited to have my daughter, Myelie, join the Beautiful Moms team as a new contributor. As the mom of a newborn and a busy toddler, she brings a fresh perspective on modern motherhood.

She lives in Alabama with her military husband, so she also understands the unique challenges of military life, frequent moves, and building a happy home wherever life takes you.
