BioBag is a world leader in providing bags and films for the collection of organic waste for the purpose of composting. Unlike regular plastic, BioBags are made from plants, vegetable oils & Mater-Bi and can be consumed by micro-organisms that live in our soils. Because of this, our bags can also be readily composted along with organic waste in municipal composting facilities.
Regular plastic bags take a lifetime, often over 100 years, to begin to degrade. Regular polyethylene/polypropylene based plastic cannot be composted. Less than 2% of plastic bags ever get recycled and those that are seldom ever become plastic bags again. Plastic bags litter our streets and waterways.
Regular plastic bags are polluting the earth!
BioBag products are derived from substances obtained from plants such as cornstarch, vegetable oils and compostable polymers from both renewable raw materials and fossil raw materials. Their bags and films are certified compostable.
BioBags are perfect for collecting organic waste, such as food scraps, leaves and grass clippings in your yard. You can use BioBag compostable bags in your home instead of petroleum-based plastic bags because they are better for the environment.
BioBag sent me samples of their BioBag Resealable Sandwich Bags, BioBag Cling Wrap, and BioBag Tall 13 Gallon Food Waste Bags to review.
My Experience: I love how these sandwich bags are nice and roomy. Some sandwich bags are a very tight fit for a regular sandwich. And have you ever noticed that some plastic sandwich bags have an odor? That in itself cannot be good for us! Those odors are made from chemicals that transfer into the foods we are eating. BioBag Sandwich bags have no odor. I am so happy to be using a product that is made from all natural plant materials.
BioBag Cling Wrap
My Experience: This cling wrap is extra clingy and works just as well if not better than regular cling wraps I have used. Plus, it has no dangerous chemicals that touch our food!
BioBag Tall 13 Gallon Food Waste Bags
My Experience: These bags are the best! They are very strong and durable. It felt good to know that they are compostable. I filled them with kitchen scraps and paper products that are also compostable.
